Don't fix it if it ain't broken.
How many times have you heard that expression? Of course you don’t fix something that isn’t broken. As for me, I can hardly fix anything when it is broken, never mind when it ain’t! But I certainly wouldn’t try to repair my irrigation system if it was working perfectly well…. if I actually had one that is. Sometimes, however, things do break. Like x-ray equipment, for example. And that’s where EDI comes in.

Let’s say have a problem your OEC 9800 c-arm. Many service companies will throw as many parts as they can at it to hopefully get lucky and fix the real problem. And you pay the bill. But the EDI service team will diagnose the real problem and we will only replace what needs to be replaced. The result is, your c-arm is fixed and your invoice is substantially less.
I really don’t want to brag...
though I’m compelled to report that in recognition of my astonishing literary skills, I have been given a title of great respect within my company. I have been named the Director Of Promotional Emails. I believe there have been others of the same title in the past and apparently, they were shorter in stature than I am since I have overheard several of my admiring employees call me the biggest DOPE they have ever known. I am always flattered by the recognition of talent constantly given by my employees, although the Tester of Unreliable Radiology Devices seems a little upset.

Nonetheless, I believe it’s a sign of great respect. Also in evidence is that I am rarely invited to social gatherings, since no one wants to make me feel embarrassed by the attention I would receive. Everyone is aware of my humility. The same goes for the absence of phone calls and e-mails. I’m almost overwhelmed by this unanimous consideration of my well being!
And although I don’t find anything particularly attractive about boasting (which I am way too awesome to do), sometimes it must be done. And at Eastern Diagnostic Imaging, it’s my job. Therefore, I must put aside my natural inclination to remain quietly modest about EDI’s extraordinary accomplishments.
